Fountain View is a beautiful home based in Lower Upham (Close to Fair Oak) – 15-minute walk from the Alma Pub. The home is currently rated as Outstanding by CQC. Supporting up to 6 males with Learning Disabilities and challenging behaviours. The individuals have a wide range of hobbies and interests but they really enjoy being out and about. The staff team are really welcoming and supportive of each other and always strive for excellence for themselves and those they support.

What does a deputy manager do?

Your role, as a Deputy Manager will involve supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or Mental Health Disorders and complex needs in a residential care environment and out in the community providing a high standard of care and support.

You will be assisting the Home Manager in the operation of a residential care home. Your duties will include development, implementation and monitoring of individual care plans, assisting with staff supervision and administrative control and ensuring compliance with all relevant codes of practice and legislation. You will also be supervising and advising less experienced staff and assisting in the overall management of the service and medication administration.

What experience do I need?

Experience is essential and a QCF level 3 or equivalent desirable. Duties involve taking the lead in supporting adults with learning disabilities in all aspects of their lives, assisting with their care and educational needs, in their own homes and out in the community.

The position requires extensive knowledge, including supervisory experience working in Adult Social Care. You will need to have a professional approach with the ability to organise and prioritise. Good knowledge of relevant codes of practice and legislation. We will train and mentor you to become a highly skilled professional.
