1.You are our digital specialist. We depend on you to keep our business operating effectively by managing our IT suppliers well.

2.You are responsive, helpful and understand what is required to make sure our people can do their jobs.

3.You have a keen eye for detail and can communicate with a wide range of stakeholders effectively.

4.You demonstrate your ability to manage multiple priorities and projects at once through effective project management skills.

5.You utilise your technical knowledge and expertise to work effectively with our IT providers. However, you are also able to keep it simple when communicating with our people.

6.You ask the right questions, challenge positively and are a skilled negotiator. You can identify products and services that deliver fit-for-purpose solutions for our business, proportionate to its size.

7.You have a good understanding of cyber security, its risks to businesses and how to mitigate these risks effectively.

1.Maintain clear IT strategy with a strong link into budget planning.

2.Manage IT support contracts and service, to ensure quality, best value for money, and that any IT failures cause minimum impact.

3.Define, implement and monitor effective IT service level   agreements with all IT suppliers.

4.Act as the first point of escalation for IT issues with IT providers, providing communication to all stakeholders and managing the relevant provider(s) to ensure a timely resolution.

5.Act as IT business partner, interfacing with business leaders and IT service providers to ensure that business needs are articulated clearly and agreed changes to systems carried out as intended.

6.Assure quality of IT project delivery, using technical knowledge to ensure that vendor proposals and responses are appropriate.

7.Ensure that the business effectively manages technology risk including cyber security risk, both through user education and using effective technical solutions, including regular monitoring.

8.Maintain Cyber Essentials Plus certification, with annual testing.

9.Provide monthly IT performance reporting to executive team.

10.Undertake appropriate continuous professional development.


•Educational qualifications as per Choice Care’s usual standards

•Knowledge and experience of Contract Management

•Knowledge and experience of Service Management

•Knowledge and experience of Project Management

•Knowledge and experience of Information Security

•Broad technical knowledge, to inform conversations with suppliers and other third parties, to include;

 1. Microsoft Windows, Azure and Office 365

 2. End user computing, including mobile devices

 3. Local, wide area and wireless data networks

 4. Telephony, including Voice over IP and Mobile

 5. Cloud-based business applications


•Degree in a relevant subject

•Service Management certification (e.g. ITIL Foundation)

•Project Management certification (e.g. APM or PRINCE2)

•Membership of relevant professional body

•Helpdesk or technical support experience
